Worn for a 10k run

Mask de Poitrine

putting the fun in fundraising

I’ve been hooked on Angine de Poitrine since I first heard a clip of them on Instagram. I can’t explain why, but their music really moves me. I’ve always been down with strange music and instrumental experimentation, but this was like nothing else. It’s a jam.

This AdP tribute is painted on an older model mask that’s no longer safe for ice hockey, so I thought it would be perfect for this little pet project. And adding to the benefits, it’s pretty lightweight, which came in handy when I “ran” the Calgary Marathon 10k in not only this mask, but full goalie gear (stick included, but no skates).

The run raised a good chunk of money for KidSport, a great organization that helps kids access sports that might otherwise be outside of their families’ financial reach.
