Grandpa Tribute

This goalie wanted a mask that paid tribute to his grandfather, who he says was the reason he loves the game of hockey. This mask took a long time and a lot of work to get right – portraits are always tricky, but when there’s so much meaning to them, it’s all the more important to get it right.

The mask also features their favourite team, the Idaho Steelheads, and the back plate shows the view from their season tickets; the goalie’s last name and jersey number; and a good dose of outdoors with the trees in the background.
